Tutorial Coordinator
Kayla Hughes
Kayla joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services staff in May 2023. She began as an academic fellow before transitioning in February 2024 into her current role as the Tutorial Coordinator and a Learning Specialist. Prior to FSU, Kayla served as Tutor Coordinator and an assistant academic advisor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Kayla received her Master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of West Georgia. Before West Georgia, Kayla received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Tennessee Technological University. At Tennessee Tech, she was a four year member of the Softball team. Kayla is a native of Chickamauga, GA.
Assistant Tutorial Coordinator
Mary Haffey
Mary joined SAAS in Fall 2021 as a Lead Tutorial Assistant. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science in Spring 2021 and plans to graduate with a Master’s of Public Administration in Summer 2024. She will be attending Law School at FSU this coming fall. Mary is a native of Naples, FL.
